Lester Ballard
Please clear up my confusion. Is there a studio version of Lester Ballard, or is there just the live version I posted in the rareties thread?

There's only the live version, which is from 1995 I think.

At the risk of being too forward, you fellas really ought to bang that out in the studio. I like it a lot, though the live recording seems to sound a little too wobbly and flat. Not to mention the band has made so many leaps and bounds in your abilities that it could produced as a heart-rending track.

If you like the song you should read the book "Child of God" by Cormac McCarthy, that's what the song is based on. It's a decent book.

Well, chauk that up to another rare Harvey Danger song that I need to hear, memorize, and idolize...

So the lyrics that have been floating around are...uh...wrong? That's good to know.

If that's your statement, your voice is too loud

Somebody not only named themselves FlagpoleSitta, but signed all their posts *~F.S.~*? I'm suddenly significantly less ashamed of myself circa 2002.

CAUTION: Over the weekend, a short psychic escaped from police custody.

RE: Lester Ballard
I just heard the 1948 song "Slap 'Er Down Agin Paw" for the first time. It's like if "Lester Ballard" had been written for a mainstream variety show.

We can talk about it later
But there's no later
Is there?
