KJV Annotation
I posted this way down in another thread, but you've likely not seen it and it's still woefully incomplete.

From information on the old board, references on this board, and no small bit of Googling, I've put together a list of annotations to the lyrics of King James Version. There are some I know I'm missing, and more I probably haven't noticed at all: if you have any further information I haven't included, please send it to me; my email address is on the page.

Thanks for your attention.

EDIT: The link in this post was wrong. I am an idiot.

my favourite part of the whole thing would have to be "Lyrics © 2000 Harvey Danger. Published by But Mom I Love Music (ASCAP)/Famous Music Corporation. Used without permission."

and i must say, i'm disappointed to learn that Nelson did not make up "independence/indifference..."

I didn't ask, and though I'm pretty sure it'd be considered fair use under copyright laws, at the very least I certainly wanted to be polite. Smile

I have a feeling Mr. Quilpes Day of the Locust reference may be due to the "and leave this town in flames" since one of the key features of the book is a painting to be painted called "The Burning of Los Angeles".

maybe.

To perhaps add to your list, I think this book may be referenced in Humility On Parade. I haven't read it but a friend did and told me the song reminded him of it.
