Uh-oh national television.
Cyn sent me home from Seattle with a couple of VHS tapes. I did what I do. The results are below.

One.
Two.

(Of course, if anybody else has similar material on a VHS, send me a PM.)

The Dave Holmes one is from 1999, promoting Save It for Later. I might have it on tape still, but I'd have to do a search around the house.

edit: It's in my hands. Let me know if you need it.

The Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn was the only way I saw Harvey Danger until late 2006. It accounts for any minor misconceptions I may have had.

Oh holy pooping Jesus this is awesome. Big Grin

I have the audio of the Kilborn appearance, as well as the un-120-Minutes'd-up full version of the PH video (and the other 4 videos that I know of, all of which are pre-LBL). Is the video of the Letterman appearance anywhere and/or is there a way I can download these fabulous clips?

CAUTION: Over the weekend, a short psychic escaped from police custody.
He is to be considered a small medium at large.

Those are pretty awesome. Two thoughts: the band really looks uncomfortable on that 120 minutes spot, Sean can barely look at the camera. Also, why was John Roderick playing bass on the Craig Kilborn show, where was Aaron?

Aaron was sick. The whiteboard behind Roderick says "Get well Aaron"

I'm pretty sure I had a video clip of Sean talking briefly with Dave Holmes about the lyrics to "Flagpole Sitta" from the Say What? Karakoe show. Though there is likely zero chance of me finding the tape, and I don't remember it being a very long spot.

Oh man! Cyn's tape had a recording of the Say What? version of Flagpole Sitta, but just of the video itself, not any talking segments surrounding it. And the tape was kind of messed up in that section--it rolled and fuzzed out a lot--so I decided it wasn't worth posting.

I'm just saying, guys: my old VHS tapes feature categorizations like "All of Pink Ranger "Kimberly" Amy Jo Johnson's made-for-TV movies" and "Every time Hanson was a guest-star on Nickelodeon." There's no shame in decade-old tapes with stupid shit on them that also include 45 seconds of Harvey Danger material. Send 'em my way and I'll upload 'em for this thread.

It's been sent.

What a weird interview. I actually think Dave Holmes was one of the best VJs MTV ever had, but the band just...
well, here's a quick text preview of the interview:

Dave: So, what was it about "Save it for Later" that cried out to you, 'cover me'?
Sean: It was the one that all of us cared about the least.

This is how Harvey Danger promoted their singles on MTV in 1999.
