I saw it the other day. The pace of the plot was really bizarre.

If I had conjured this as a fiction
I would be scared I'd gone too far

I don't generally see movies I don't think I'm going to like (except for Van Helsing, I was forced), so that's why there are only two on that list. I may add more if any come to me. BTW, I'm pretty sure Goodbye Lenin! came out in 2003, but if Sean gets to list it, I do too.

I couldn't quite put my finger on it, but now that you mention it, that's what irked me the most about that film.

Disagreements
Sideways - It wasn't great, wasn't horrible either
Finding Neverland - Gee, I thought it was great. I don't know why people didn't like it. Perhaps people should be warned it’s a subdued English movie.
Kinsey - I also liked it. I thought it was terribly interesting and well acted.

Major Agreements
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind - I can’t praise it enough.
Stage Beauty - Billy Crudup kicks ass.
Harry Potter - This film transcended pop-culture.
Incredibles - It was very fun.

Also, I loved Hero. As philosophical as it was beautiful.

It began super fast, got boringly slow, sped up, then slowed down, then sped up in order to linger. I think it was an un-patterned and inconsistent pace that mucks up an otherwise interesting film.

At any rate, this year was a low movie year. I spent a lot of time catching up on last year's films and on old films.

Bests:
Sky Catptain and the World Of Tomorrow
Harry Potter (which did transcend pop culture)
Eternal Sunshine
The Incredibles
Spiderman 2
Anchorman
Garden State

Dissapointments:
Hellboy
Passion Of The Christ
The Forgotten
Troy
The Day After Tomorrow
Van Helsing

1 Terrible Film:
Saw

I thought the actor playing Satan was hot, but that's about it. A 20 minute closeup of partial flaying just doesn't do it for me.

If I had conjured this as a fiction
I would be scared I'd gone too far
