It's funny because it's false.

We can talk about it later
But there's no later
Is there?

Two things:

1) I am attempting to isolate the vocals on the track that we do have. Instead of doing homework like I should be. So, as I get more results from that, I will post mp3s (somewhere...)

2) So far, I think I've stumbled across a bit of a break through with the verbiage surrounding "libraries". I believe it should be:

...some have libraries
Your autograph collection - countless

Does that seem reasonable to anyone else?

Alright, well forget that - I'm getting success so minimal that it's not worth sharing. Sorry folks.

Maybe someone who reads lips can figure it out from the video.

We can talk about it later
But there's no later
Is there?

You're a god among mortals. I desperately wanted to do that, and wouldn't know where to start.

So in the airport, I had a brainwave: It's "reddens my face," not "red in the face." I tried to call JFH but his voicemail is full.

So, that's the (aiff version) of what I've got done. I also think I've figured out a little bit of the first verse

If I had a heart
then it would bleed
and if I played guitar
I still wouldn't be the lead
and it makes me red.

What do you think?

If anyone else can get anything out the second verse, more power to ya!

That actually looks really possible, WT, although horrifyingly emo. But. It doesn't sound quite right. If I know nothing else, I know the first three words are "if I were." I'm thinking that each of the first four verses starts with an if-clause.

Okay, edit..
Being a former naysayer, and still thinking very little of the song itself, I am now stuck in Dining Car Lyrical Hell. My phonetic training will get me somewhere, someday. For now, it's just this.

Here's what I've got. obviously, a work in progress:

if i weren't heartless (?), then i could bleed
and if i played guitar, still wouldn't be the lead, friend(?)

if you were _____, working your hand(?)
and the _____ that you're saving
you've already _____
you still ran
and it makes me red

if i were a boxer, i'd know how to spar
if there's oil on the carpet, sell the car, friend

if you're gonna seek, i won't bother to hide
no, it's not a book in your hand, it's tv guide
you're well read
and it makes me red
yeah, it makes me red

incarnadine! incarnadine!
make the multitude of diseased
turn red as my face
you ironic killjoy

stop your thoughts now in _______ inflection
some have libraries, your autograph collection: countless

the vessel grimly looks like a train
i'd die, it knows (?)
your pop culture brain is so dead
and it makes me red
yeah, it makes me red

incarnadine! incarnadine!
make the multitude of diseased
turn red as my face
you ironic killjoy!

incarnadine! incarnadine!
i can close my eyes and it gets so long before
i just go blind as you
if you can't help it and if i am you
i know how hard i'd try
_______ tired of you, as red as my face
you ironic killjoy!!

So from what I can gather, a handful of people actually know the real lyrics because Sean told them, and they did a lipsync video ala Vimeo to it. They're also not saying what the lyrics are, reasoning that it will spoil the mystery, but the actual reason being it grants them a higher lever of fandom status?
Please just post them already! We're all diehard fans here (not the movie, although I must admit I did enjoy the 4th one)!

Not to spoil it, but the whole joy of the video was that we had no idea what the words were.

Nobody knew the lyrics until after the video, and even then he only told us what was wrong and one correct verse.

"Hillary Clinton thinks she's SO cool."
