I loved Juno. It was brilliant.

Pray to the God that you don't quite believe in
To bless this fleeting moment
Yeah, YEAH, YEAH!

Juno made me laugh, but in the end I think it's appalling to market a movie to the PG-13 crowd that explains how if you wind up in a teen pregnancy, your parents will accept it in a heartbeat, you will immediately find a couple who will adopt your child AND pay for all medical expenses, and in the end you will face no moral or social repercussions.

I think Im going to like "Jumpers" as much as I liked "Clockstoppers", or "Zoom"...
I won't...

Another Flash-type movie, that just doesn't hit the mark...
Which in turn, scares any studio from wanting to make a Flash movie...

Wait, are you saying that isn't how it goes, Myrrth? Do you sometimes have to pay for some of the medical expenses or something?

I guess it is fairly presumptuous of me to assume all teen pregnancies aren't romantic comedies that wrap themselves up in 90 minutes instead of 9 months.

Rich, I thought the same thing about Jumper... was there really someone out there who thought that combining xXx with Nightcrawler was a good idea?

xXx + Nightcrawler...LOL
From the trailers, it's got a "Heroes" look about it:
"Once you discover your powers, they'll come to find you"...

If you're gonna go see "Rambo", man up, and just say it...
I won't judge you for it, as no one else should...

HEY!!!
"Across The Universe" just came out on DVD...
Is it worth the trip to send my sister to Wal-Mart, and get it for me???

Why aren't there more dinosaur movies that are as good ad the first 2 JP's???

I'm oddly excited for 10,000 B.C. does that make me weird?
N.B. I am a history major.

I saw Across the Universe in theaters, and I enjoyed it greatly. It contains a great cross-section of Beatles songs; unfortunately, you may have your heart set on one or two tunes that don't see the transition to screen. I mean, it's a natural problem, because the Beatles' body of work is obviously too much to incorporate all the songs to make everyone happy, let alone incorporate them into a story... but what's there is excitingly satisfying.

As to new dinosaur movies, I felt that the new King Kong was visually stimulating enough to warrant seeing more than once. I know it's been out for a while... wait, were you referring to Cloverfield, in a roundabout way? I haven't seen it yet. Nor Rambo. I may see them on DVD, but they're not the experience I tend to look for when I go out to see a movie... although that varies greatly depending on my mood. (To cite another thread, I went out of my way to see Death Sentence with Kevin Bacon, dragging my girlfriend to it by way of going to a theater/restaurant. I still adamantly believe that the film's 'money shot' is Kevin Bacon in a hospital gown walking through the dark street in the pouring rain with murder in his eyes. Or any of the scenes with John Goodman as an over-the-top illegal gun salesman. Classic! I regret nothing!)

Edit: After seeing Death Sentence, I sent the following text message to my best friend: "If you ever meet Kevin Bacon, whatever you do, don't fuck with him or his wife or he will systematically kill everyone in your gang."

Iron Man was good, really good...
Better than Punisher, Ghost Rider, Spiderman 3, X3,
and Superman 4, The Quest For A Piece...
I liked it a lot, mostly because I don't read Marvel,
so I didn't know enough to critique the back-story...
If you go, stay THROUGH the credits...
(Mmmmm-mmmm, bitch!!!)
Also, I'm sorrry to say, but Gwyneth got old...

Trailers: Something's Happening, but I don't really care...
Will Mike Meyers top Sandler at the box office???
Hulk steals a page from 300...
Na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na, BATMAAAAAAAAAN!!!!

Yeah, Iron Man fucking rocked. I'm not a comic books person and I think that's the best comic books movie I've ever seen.

I also agree. I didn't know they were doing an Avengers movie, too. That sounds awesome.

Will Downey sign on for the sequel???

There were rumblings that Routh and Bale won't work together
on World's Finest, or Justice League, but I hope that's not the case with Avengers...
