Beatles Solo Poll
I picked the songs I thought were most popular...
I didn't research it, but I believe Ringo has had more charted songs, than the other 3...

'Cause I get...Oh,

I voted Jet cause I like the Harvey Danger cover.

...Imagine is one of the worst songs ever, in my opinion. It angers me.

Given the quality of choices, I had to go with Ringo. Then, Jet. Then, Imagine. Lastly, What is Life -- boy, that song is crappy. I'd bet My Sweet Lord was a more popular song.

I love solo Beatles stuff so much.

"What Is Life?" is crappy???

I would've posted "My Sweet Lord", but The Chiffons PM'd me a cease and desist...

I'd agree with Mr. Zero, and say "imagine"...

I picked "What is Life", although I'd rather it have been "When We Was Fab". You could just list about twenty things by George Harrison and they'd all win my vote.

CAUTION: Over the weekend, a short psychic escaped from police custody.
He is to be considered a small medium at large.

I'm listening to it now, and I'll take back the "crappy" label and instead just call it a song I usually skip.

"Fab" is an awesome song...
But would you have voted for "I Got My Mind Set On You", or "Faster"???

me: My Mom is so indifferent to lyrics, she likes "Imagine." My Dad doesn't believe it's possible to be so indifferent to those lyrics.
my best friend: What are they?
me: Are you serious?
my best friend: I've never heard of it, so, yes.
me: "Imagine" by John Lennon?
me: His most famous song?
my best friend: Oh
my best friend: Like I care about him?

In the interest of full disclosure, I don't know "What Is Life?"

I didn't know music existed before Joy Division.

That joke never gets old. No, really.

"Imagine" is, in fact, an incredible song, it's just nearly impossible to appreciate it as it should be when it's played as often as it is. It's one of my favorite John Lennon songs, yet I very rarely sit at home, listening to that album, and think I need to hear it. "Gimme Some Truth", however, never gets old.

Anyway,
Imagine > What is Life > Jet > It Don't Come Easy

"All Things Must Pass" is the only worthwhile George Harrison album, you don't need any of Paul's solo stuff except for a compilation like "Wingspan" (fuck "Memory Almost Full") and Ringo surprisingly had some great moments, but most of those songs were written by John anyway.

My LBL bonus disc is Ethiopian.

Could you link me some proof to that statement???

I'm now watching Gene Simmons visit to Abbey Rd. Studios...
He's playing the piano that Paul played on "Lady Madonna",
and the guitar that John played on "Rain",
and I couldn't hate him more...
