Superman Returns-The disappointment....
Kate Bosworth is horrible, and had no chemistry with Brandon Routh..
Lex's evil plot was a ripoff of Superman 1
Perry White was bland...
It was so bad, I had to see it twice to make sure...

There goes my hopes for a "World's Finest" movie....

Really?

Ho well, I shall see it anyway. When is the UK release? Anyone? Oh I'll look it up myself.

Don't forget about how the kid is the shittiest plot device in the world, with terrible dialogue to boot!

CAUTION: Over the weekend, a short psychic escaped from police custody.
He is to be considered a small medium at large.

The problem is that superman is lame. It's strange to me that you didn't see it coming.

i haven't seen the movie, so i can't speak for that, but the like 1940s or 1950s or whenever tv show of it was amazing. i used to watch it when i was a kid and it was the most fantastic show ever made. while batman>superman, superman is still pretty sweet.

Plus, they shoulda had a physics major do the Technical Directing...
ie-The Bends, terminal Velocity, etc...

Also, if the former Krypton had a red Sun, how was he able to go back?

Wouldn't the Kryptonite have killed him?

Where did he get the ship that brought him back?

ps-Bosworth's ass is so flat, she makes chalkboards jealous....

'Cause I get...Oh,

As a movie, I enjoyed.

Knowing what I know about Superman in the comics, it kinda fell flat.

Plus there was an obscene amount of CGI. I mean, do these people really think that we're not going to noticed when superman suddenly changes into a frigging cartoon. Come on people, this isn't Roger Rabbit here!!

My synopsis:

This is a movie about a pile of rocks.

Kevin Spacey owned this movie.

I liked Brandon Routh as Superman/Clark Kent too, because for a newcomer he knew what he was doing. Or maybe he just takes direction well. Either way, he didn't seem to misstep the entire movie.

The rest of it I could easily have done without.

I liked it, and I'm the geekiest geek that ever did geek.

And there you go, I've created a temporal paradox. A minor one, I hope.

Was it as bad as Star Wars Episode III?

I couldn't agree more. I've never been a huge fan of Superman. I don't understand a lot of his appeal, aside from making Batman cooler.
